O Gauge 2 aspect MAIN signal kit

NEW IMPROVED kit with simplified assembly and better appearance. The ladder is more realistic and is easily assembled using the integral jig. Brass, nickel silver and resin cast components with a pre-wired LED cluster with realistic light colour.

This kit enables you to build ONE 2 aspect RED GREEN O Gauge model signal. Different target boards allow a choice of three main versions with an assortment of ID plates, Telephone boxes and two base options to suit different eras. Operation is by 12VDC. A 2 way switch will be required to operate the signal.

The kit is designed to be assembled with adhesive but the ladder and some of the metal parts can be soldered if desired. Head box parts are held together with 12BA screws (supplied) and the back box is pre-threaded.

For the ladder assembly and ID plate wires, use thin runny superglue like ROKET HOT but for all other parts, 5 minute epoxy is best.

Distant Versions

Common Cathode

LED clusters are supplied pre-wired in "Common Cathode" (Common Negative) form. If you need them wired "Common Anode" (Common positive) please email me at the time of ordering and I'll change them.

Digital control units.

Various digital control units are available which have built in resistors. There should be no problem using these units but you are advised to use my supplied resistors in any case. The LED resistor combination I supply has been carefully worked out to provide realistic colour, long LED life and crucially, balanced brightness between the colours. I can supply alternative resistors if needed to adjust brightness etc. Contact me if you need help.
